City Garden Design
The brief for the garden design was to add plants to the paved area and with the arrival of a new baby, add a lawn and tree to this mid terraced garden.
The garden is long and thin. By creating journey through it gives the illusion of space by creating strong lines. The path meanders around a decked seating area, past the main border and ends at the new gate area. Storage and an area for the bins was created by removing the old shed and stabilising the old wall. Cobbles have been used to break up the path and add a change in texture. Box hedges will eventually add height and further define the areas. A stunning Betula Utilis Jacquemontii tree has been planted to add privacy and height. The tree has been underplanted with colourful Euphorbia and Crocosmia for seasonal interest and the old chimney pots have been reused as focal points around the garden. All done on a limited budget!!
